Dr. Joseph Borreggine
Dr. Joseph S. Borreggine has several years as a highly qualified podiatrist and has served on numerous boards of academia.
Dr. Joseph S. Borreggine was born in Rochester, NY. He attended St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY. Class’84 obtaining a BS in Biology. He then attended podiatric medical school at the Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL Class ’88 and obtained his DPM degree. He obtained his post graduate training in Chicago from 1988-1992.
Dr. Borreggine was a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery from 1997-2020. Dr. Borreggine owned and operated Touching Ground Podiatry, PC in Charleston, IL and practiced there from 1992-2019. Dr. Borreggine joined the Preferred Podiatry Group, PC (PPG), Chicago, IL as a podiatrist from 2016-2020 serving their many long term care facilities in Illinois. He was the President of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association (IPMA) from 2009-2010 and served as a IPMA Delegate for the American Podiatric Medical Association from 2009-2011. Dr. Borreggine was also a member of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation Podiatry Licensing Board from 2013-2018 and served as the Chairman from 2015-2018.
In 2020, Dr. Borreggine began practice in Sarasota, Florida with Advanced Foot and Ankle, Inc. He is an active member of the Florida and American Podiatric Medical Associations. Dr. Borreggine has also authored a practice management text for the podiatric profession entitled, “The Podiatric Practice Manual” copyright 2008. Dr. Borreggine also has written numerous articles for many podiatric publications and has lectured to his colleagues on the issues facing the profession regarding healthcare reform, medical coding, regulations and practice management.
He was also a podiatric medical peer reviewer for the Central Illinois Medical Review Organization (CIMRO) from 1992-2020. Dr. Borreggine now resides in Punta Gorda, FL with his wife, Amelia.
