Dr. Shawn Raymond Norris
Dr. Shawn Norris is originally from Montana, but received his undergraduate degree with highest honors in Marine Biology from the University of Hawaii. Dr. Norris then attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine on scholarship and received his doctorate, graduating in the top 10 percentile of his class.
After receiving his degree, he completed his residency at one of the busiest acute care VA podiatry clinics in the country, Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, Ill., where he served as chief resident. While in Chicago, Dr. Norris received extensive training in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, diabetic limb salvage, wound care and pediatric orthopedics.
During his time in Chicago, Dr. Norris went overseas and completed a fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle under the training of renowned foot and ankle surgeons in England, Germany and Norway. He also was a faculty member of multiple wound care symposia in Chicago, which trained nurse specialists focusing on foot and ankle wounds. Dr. Norris has presented original and award-winning presentations on wound care on numerous occasions at major national and regional podiatric conferences.
After the completion of his residency training and becoming licensed in the state of Florida, Dr. Norris joined Certified Foot and Ankle Specialists in Boca Raton and helps his patients with their foot and ankle ailments.
When he’s not providing excellent care to his patients, he is training residents at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, treating patients at the Boca Raton Regional Hospital Wound Care Center, lectures regularly, and spends time with friends and family.
