Dr. Jorge Nasr
Dr. Nasr has been practicing in his hometown of Miami since 2003.
Board Certified, American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics.
Director, Kendall Regional Medical Center Podiatric Surgical Training Program (1999 to 2025)

Dr. Nasr was born in Cuba and raised in Miami, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami, majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Throughout his youth and high school years, Dr. Nasr played competitive football as a quarterback for eight seasons. The discipline, resilience, and work ethic he developed on the field became foundational to his academic and professional success.
Pursuing his calling in podiatric medicine, Dr. Nasr remained in his hometown and attended Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he graduated in 1990. He then completed his residency at Universal Medical Center in Plantation, Florida, receiving extensive training in the medical and surgical management of foot, ankle, and lower leg conditions, including complex trauma and reconstruction.
Dr. Nasr has continued to expand his surgical expertise through numerous advanced training programs, with emphasis on both adult and pediatric foot and ankle reconstructive procedures. He has a special interest in the correction of painful pediatric flatfoot deformities. In 1999, Dr. Nasr founded the first-ever Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at Kendall Regional Medical Center (now HCA Florida Kendall Hospital) in Miami. He served as Program Director from 1999 to 2017, mentoring and graduating 17 podiatric surgeons.
Today, what began as a single residency has grown into a multi-disciplinary institution with eight residency programs, marking the hospital’s evolution into a teaching facility. Now based in the Tampa Bay region, Dr. Nasr brings his decades of experience to patients in the St. Petersburg and Brandon Certified Foot and Ankle offices. He holds an active medical license in the State of Florida and remains deeply involved in residency training. He is also on staff at several hospitals and surgery centers in the area.
