Dr. Bahaa Amer
Board certified, American Board of Podiatric Medicine Board Certified, American Board of Wound Management.
Dr. Amer is originally from Cairo, Egypt where he lived until his late twenties. In Egypt, Dr. Amer obtained his medical degree from Cairo University School of Medicine. After moving to the U.S. Dr. Amer worked in the Department of Patient and Physician Advocacy at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC and as the Medical Director for the Embassy of Qatar in Washington, DC. In 2012, Dr. Amer started podiatry school at the NY College of Podiatric Medicine.
After receiving his degree as a DPM, Dr. Amer completed a three year Residency Program at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in NY with extensive training in forefoot, and rearfoot surgery as well as Diabetic foot limb salvage. Upon finishing his residency, Dr. Amer joined Sun River Health in NY which is a federally qualified health care center designed to provide health care for low-income patients and patients with no insurance.
In 2021, Dr. Amer moved to the Tampa area to establish new podiatry services with Premier Community Health Care to provide podiatric healthcare services to low-income patients and patients with no insurance. Dr. Amer is Board certified podiatrist by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and Board-certified Physician by the American Board of Wound Management.
When Dr. Amer is not taking care of his patients, he is most likely watching or playing soccer or spending time with his family.
