Dr. Nathalia Esmeral Bio

Dr. Esmeral is a dynamic and accomplished podiatric surgeon who was born and raised in Colombia before moving to the United States to pursue her passion for medicine. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Molecular Biology from the University of Central Florida, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and part of the Dean’s List for scholar excellence. She then pursued her doctorate degree at Barry School of Podiatric Medicine, where she graduated in the top 10 percent of her class. She also earned her position at the Pi Delta Honor Society and the President’s List for scholar excellence.

Continuing her education, she completed a three-year surgical residency in South Florida with HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine, where she was awarded first place for the 2020 SAM poster competition and named best presenter for the Research Poster Exhibition.

She then completed a one-year comprehensive foot and ankle fellowship in Naples, FL, where she received advanced training in reconstructive surgery, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, MIS (HAV. hammertoes, calcaneal osteotomies, etc.), arthroscopy, nerve transposition/translocation, Dellon triple nerve decompression, rearfoot/ankle fusions, tendon transfers, internal/external fixation, practice management, and more.

Dr. Esmeral is an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ACFAS), and declared Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in both Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery.

In her personal life, Dr. Esmeral enjoys soccer, dancing, spending time with family, and traveling. She is also fluent in both Spanish and English.
