Dr. Nicole Zahn

Dr. Zahn is a Florida native who grew up in Lighthouse Point and attended Highlands Christian Academy. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree at Nova Southeastern University where she majored in Cellular and Molecular Biology and minored in Mathematics and Chemistry. In 2011, she earned a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and subsequently graduated from Barry University with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in 2016.

A Skilled and Focused Caregiver

Dr. Zahn is Board Qualified in Foot surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Her highly specialized training inperipheral nerve surgery, internal and external fixation, Charcot/diabetic limb salvage, reconstructive adult and pediatric foot and ankle surgery is a tribute to her versatility.

Though Dr. Zahn has extensive and comprehensive training in lower extremity surgery, she remains focused on each patient as an individual with specific needs and expectations. Dr. Zahn believes that in most cases, conservative treatment options are paramount to surgery. She feels that surgery should be reserved for those cases in which all conservative measures have failed otherwise.

Dr. Zahn values patent inimitability and she strives to effectively and collectively identify the best treatment options according to the conditions, demands and goals of her patients lifestyle.

Highly Trained Professional with a Vast Background in Surgical Podiatry

Dr. Zahn’s training includes several prestigious programs and opportunities, including a practice management Preceptorship under the tutelage of Dr. Kyle Kinmon, MS, DPM, FACFAS at Certified Ankle & Foot Specialists, one of the largest multi-specialty  groups in South Florida.

Dr. Zahn served as Chief Resident at a strenuous, high volume, three-year surgical training program at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton beach.  At Bethesda, she focused on forefootrearfoot and ankle reconstructive surgery, trauma, lower limb peripheral nerve surgery, wound care and limb salvage.

Furthermore, Dr. Zahn is an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery (AACFAS) and has chosen to undertake advanced, specialized training in foot and ankle trauma and reconstruction in a one year  fellowship under the guidance of her Director, Dr. Ashley Bowles, DPM, FACFAS.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Zahn enjoys spending time with her family, Gator football, cooking, rollerblading and gardening.
