Dr. Pooneh Alaei
After completing her Medical Degree at Bogomolets National Medical University in Ukraine, Dr. Alaei worked for a few years as a research associate in the department of nuclear medicine at Emory University Hospital in Georgia. She then relocated to New York and attended New York College of Podiatric Medicine where she earned her Doctorate degree.
Following the completion of her Doctorate, Dr. Alaei pursued a three-year surgical residency in forefoot and rearfoot surgery at Larkin Community Hospital in Palm Springs Campus in Miami, Florida. Throughout her residency, Dr. Alaei received a certificate of appreciation for her exceptional service to Barry AAWP Student Chapter. During her time as a resident, she gained extensive training in all areas of the lower leg, foot, and ankle pathology, including the management of diabetic foot infections, wound care, limb salvage, elective and traumatic forefoot/rearfoot surgery, and Total Ankle replacement. Dr. Alaei has over a decade of experience working in the medical field and is highly skilled in her profession.
Dr. Pooneh Alaei is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine – ABPM. She is also a member of several organizations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association – APMA , Florida Podiatric Medical Association – FPMA and The American Board of Podiatric Medicine – ABPM.
Dr. Alaei is passionate about delivering exceptional foot and ankle care to her patients and prides herself on her patience, discipline, consistency, good bedside manner, and professionalism. She exhausts all conservative options before considering surgical intervention and is committed to providing the highest quality service for all aspects of podiatry care to her patients. Dr. Alaei treats all her patients with respect and dignity and provides excellent medical care regardless of their age, race, or ethnicity. Her patients’ needs always take top priority.
In her free time, Dr. Alaei enjoys staying active outside, going to the beach, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
