As a cardiologist, he is able to evaluate for other concomitant cardiovascular problems associated with vein disease. Dr. Orem’s educational pedigree includes a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry from the University of Missouri, Doctorate from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City Missouri, Internal Medicine residency and cardiology fellowship as well as lnterventional Cardiology fellowship at Wright State University Hospitals in Dayton, OH. He has been board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, cardiac electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. As an American Board of Internal Medicine Speciality member, Dr. Orem participates in the Board’s continuing maintenance of certification testing process to ensure up to date knowledge for the latest developments in cardiovascular medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE AND LEADERSHIP

His area of interest is venous disease. He is published in the Journal of Electrophysiology , and has been a consultant for Abbott pacemakers, and Boston Scientific corporations. As a physician instructor for Diomed Laser corporation, he has taught hundreds of physicians the various techniques of venous intervention. He has developed and served as the director for a cardiology department and cardiac catheterization lab in Ohio , practicing as an interventional cardiologist for 30 years.
