Dr. Ramy Elattal

Dr Elattal was born and raised in New York City. He attended Fordham University for his undergraduate degree double-majoring in Biological Sciences and Psychology.After completing college, he conducted research at Weill Cornell Hospital within the Pediatric Surgical Dept. and was published as first-author in the International Journal of Surgery for the research topic Pulmonary alveolar and vascular morphometry after gel plug occlusion of trachea in a fetal rabbit model of CDH.


He then went to Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine and spent one year doing a post-baccalaureate program in Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Elattal then traveled to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine.

Post residency, he completed a year preceptorship in New York City with Dr. Kenneth Meisler, DPM, FACFAS learning how to effectively treat and manage patients covering extensive aspects within foot and ankle pathology. Dr. Elattal then went on to complete his residency in New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital training under a diverse array of Podiatric surgeons enhancing his skills in foot, ankle and lower leg, including traumatic and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. Dr. Elattal has also attended several academic/surgical courses nationally to solidify his training. Dr. Elattal is Board Qualified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

He is currently a Fellow at Certified Foot and Ankle Specialists, to train extensively with renowned podiatric surgeons, orthopedic surgeons in all areas of foot, ankle and lower leg surgery including elective and traumatic forefoot, hind-foot and ankle reconstruction, as well as infection management, diabetic foot reconstruction and limb salvage. Dr. Elattal is also currently in the process of completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in Healthcare Management at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.

During his free time, Dr. Elattal enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys traveling internationally, exploring new cultures and cuisine. He also enjoys going to the gym routinely and playing basketball.
